What is Reverification?

TennCare members must reverify with DHS every year to see if they still qualify for TennCare.

DHS will tell you when it’s time to reverify. They will call you to set up an appointment time. If they can’t reach you by phone, you’ll get a Request for Information (RFI) packet in the mail. It’s important to fill out the RFI and turn it in to DHS on time. If you don’t, you could lose your TennCare.

What if I need help filling out the RFI papers?

Call us at 1-800-758-1638 Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm Central Standard Time. We can help you.

What should I do if I change my address or phone number?

Always report any changes to DHS. You can call the Family Assistance Service Center at 1-866-311-4287 to report any changes, like a change of address or phone, or you can go to your local DHS office. If you need help, call us at 1-800-758-1638. Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm Central Standard Time.
